That's true! I think it's really cool how different our voice can sound like to another person. We might find our voice ugly, but others may find it beautiful. We may think we're just rambling, but others may find it life-changing. We're often our own worst critics.
I love your style, Alea. Whether or not you feel like you've fully "found" your voice, it really shines through in your writing.
I resonate with your approach of sharing your experiences and the lessons you're learning in real time. There's something so valuable about learning from someone who's just a step or two ahead, the perspective is fresh, and the struggles and breakthroughs are still vivid in your mind as you share them.
In contrast, established experts can sometimes lose touch with what it feels like to be new to a craft, so your perspective as someone still navigating the journey is incredibly relatable and refreshing.
If there’s any challenge right now, it’s simply that your reach isn’t thousands of readers... yet! But the beautiful thing about writing is that it’s timeless. What you’re creating today will be discovered and resonate with people down the line, even years from now. So keep publishing, it’s such an important part of the journey, and your words will find the audience they’re meant to reach.
Aaaa this made me tear up 🥺 Thank you so much, Mark! 💖
After writing this article, I realized that my fears and worries were distracting me from why I'm doing this in the first place. My goal is not to impress others but to share the lessons I'm learning with my fellow writers and creators. Just the thought of one other person feeling a little less alone in their journey is already a blessing 🥹
Thank you so much for your kind words, Mark 🙏🏻 I appreciate you being here ✨ Let's keep writing and not forget our original intentions 😊
I really like what you said there Mark about Alea's words being read in years to come by people down the line.
That really takes the pressure off the instant gratification trap and frees Alea (and all of us who write) to simply absorb ourselves in creating our words.
I think the most important thing aspiring writers/creatives must always remember is to be focused on the joys of the journey, not so much the outcome ❤️
I agree! I find that when I focus on the outcome, I get worried, anxious and creatively stuck. But when I focus on enjoying the process, everything just feels so much lighter and I'm full of inspiration 🤍 I feel so much better now after writing this article and reading your comment~ Thank you, Stephanie! Let's enjoy our creative journey 🥰✨
I completely agree with your point - there is no singular, prescribed way to share your thoughts or observations. Writing is deeply personal, and your voice is how you connect with your audience.
The beauty of your voice lies in its authenticity, and that’s what makes it meaningful to others. Rather than focusing on external standards, the real challenge is to reflect inwardly and get in touch with your genuine thoughts and feelings. Finding your voice, in my view, therefore, is more about getting to know and understand yourself. It’s about observing deeply, recognizing your feelings, opinions, and insights, and expressing them in a way that feels true to you. Once you develop this self-awareness, writing becomes a natural extension of who you are. Your voice isn’t static - it evolves as you do - but it always reflects your unique perspective. That’s what makes it valuable and worth sharing.
Beautifully said, Wasim! Thank you so much for sharing your insight 💖
I agree! Our voice as a writer is just a natural extension of ourselves 💖 It's all about authenticity. Our audience can relate more to us when we stop writing to impress, and just do it to express ourselves 😊
You're very welcome Alea. Sharing your journey, especially with the fears and doubts we all feel, is such a powerful gift to others. Let’s keep creating and lifting others up along the way. It’s a privilege to be part of this community with you!
This felt like a relieve. I think it is NOT OUR job to find our voice. It just is. I think it's on readers how they interpret it.

Yeah, it just automatically reflects, we don't have to intentionally find & force it into our writing
"You Don’t Find Your Voice—You Use It" Exactly this!
